MAT PILATES FAQ

Parkstone Mat Pilates Class Information

Are the classes suitable for beginners?

Yes. Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 people, which allows exercises to be adapted for different levels of experience within the class.

Do I need an assessment before joining?

No. An assessment is optional, but it can be useful if you have pain, an injury or a specific goal. It allows us to look at the problem more closely and identify exercises or adaptations that can be integrated into your classes, making your Pilates work more specific to your individual needs.

Can I join if I have pain or an injury?

Exercises can often be adapted where appropriate. If you have an injury, significant or unexplained pain, or are unsure whether Pilates is suitable for you, please check with your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional before attending. An optional assessment may also be useful so we can identify suitable exercises or adaptations.

Where are the classes held?

Classes are held at Parkstone Yacht Club, with views across Poole Harbour.
