How Can We Help You?
What our clients say
“I’ve been attending Alex’s classes for about 10 years and feel stronger and more flexible now than I did 10 years ago. Classes stay small so everyone gets individual attention, and exercises are adjusted to suit each person.” — Iis & Alan
“Highly recommend — sessions are tailored, and movements adapted to suit you. I’d also recommend the 1-1 session before starting classes if you have specific areas to work on. Alex gave me exercises that helped an injury I’d struggled with for years — better than any physio treatment I’ve had.” — Clare Rimmer
“Alex is the best Pilates Instructor/Therapist I’ve been to. I had lower back pain for years before meeting him, and he’s helped me overcome it through his classes and 1-1 therapy sessions. I’m back to full training as a Martial Artist and pain-free.” — Jules Rodenhurst
“I’ve worked with Alex for about a year for lower chronic back ache — nothing short of fantastic. Sessions are well thought out and varied. We regularly finish with a sports massage, which has really helped my progress.” — Ben Reynolds

Something more — Thrive Studio is a full equipment Pilates studio. Classes use the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Tower, not just the Reformer, so exercises can be adapted more precisely to what your body needs.
Equipment classes are capped at 4 people. Mat classes are capped at 8. Both are kept deliberately small, for hands-on attention and adapted exercises rather than a one-size-fits-all class.
Full equipment and Reformer classes are £16–£24. Mat classes are £8.75–£13.
A two-year Pilates course covering Mat Work and Full Equipment, a Level 5 Sports & Movement Therapy Diploma, Sports Massage certification, and 15 years of combined clinical experience — Pilates instruction integrated with therapy training, not a Pilates-only qualification.
Yes — Alex has worked with professional dancers and performers, including pantomime and professional show productions, providing conditioning, injury prevention and hands-on treatment support.
Every new Pilates client is offered a 1-1 assessment before starting classes. Drawing on my sports therapy background, it’s a biomechanics screening and movement assessment that helps identify any underlying issues causing pain, and works out which exercises will benefit you most — so we can build them into your classes
